722. State Fair (1962)

*The Warlock is standing next to Lucinda on Hell’s Highway looking haggard up against his car*

L: You look exhausted.

W: I’ve been going non-stop since I jump started the S.O.F. Project.

L: You definitely need a rest. But first….you have some unfinished business.

*Warlock shakes his head*

W: What now?

L: Remember years ago you forgot to do that Ann Margret movie?

W: Which one?

L: STATE FAIR?

W: Oh yeahhhhhh, I was supposed to watch that with Mr. America but the DVD wouldn’t burn so I had to go with Bus Riley’s Back In Town, that movie sucked dick.

L: Now’s the time to finish it.

W: Alright, catch you later.

*Warlock leaves in his car and calls Mr. America*

A: Do you have any idea what time it is?

W: Ann Margret.

A: ……..come on over.

*Warlock drives over to The Base. He walks in and flicks his wrist to put Youtube on. Mr. America is already in his chair waiting. Warlock takes his seat in the recliner*

W: Welcome to The Base for another edition of Warlock’s Movie Realm. Today’s movie just happens to be the second one Ann Margret was ever in, the 1962 adaptation of the musical STATE FAIR. What’s this about? Young adults find love and fun at the fair….sounds simple enough right?

A: Righhhhhhhttttttt…….

W: Anyway, leading the cast is the legendary Pat Boone and he’s got Bobby Darin with him. Its also directed by Jose Ferrer so this might be interesting. If it sucks, at least we have Ann Margret to look at. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for STATE FAIR.

*America reads the tag-line*

A: “A brother and sister find romance and good clean fun at the state fair in Dallas.”

W: Hopefully not with each other.
