*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a black leather jacket, black t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and gargoyle shades. He’s holding a Mega Pint of Dr. Pepper*
W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.
*Warlock does nothing but walk inside*
W: Welcome back to Public Domain Week here at Warlock’s Movie Realm. There’s only two movies left and I saved them both for last for a good reason. Tonight’s movie will be the 1928 romantic drama STREET ANGEL. Now last year I covered 7th Heaven featuring Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell and the major domos loved their work so much they had them work together again on this movie.
*Warlock takes his seat in the middle of the couch*
W: So what’s STREET ANGEL about? Gaynor is a struggling prostitute and thief trying to raise money to help her sick mother only to be chased into a circus…..hey this sounds familiar. Anyway, she meets Charles Farrell but the cops are still on her tail. Now like I said earlier, these two worked together on 7th Heaven so the chemistry will be the same. Now I mentioned in years past Janet Gaynor was the first Best Actress for her work on 3 movies, one of which was 7th Heaven. STREET ANGEL was the other one. Now I should be cautious because rom droms aren’t normally my thing and this is one of the longest movies of the whole week at an hour and 42 minutes. So, let’s see if this movie is good. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for STREET ANGEL.

*Warlock reads the tag-line*
W: “A woman on the run from the law finds her past catching up to her just as she is on the verge of true happiness.”
W: I hate when that happens.
