*The Warlock is in The Grand Wizard’s Palace He’s wearing a black tuxedo and Gargoyle shades while holding a water bottle full of Dr. Pepper*
W: Welcome back to Oscar’s Month here at Warlock’s Movie Realm. Tonight, in my father’s palace, we’ll be taking a look at a movie that I’ve never seen before, not even a clip. Tonight’s movie happened to win Best Picture back in 2004, that movie is the boxing drama MILLION DOLLAR BABY!
*Warlock takes his seat*
W: First the accolades, Clint Eastwood was nominated for Best Actor, Morgan Freeman won Best Supporting Actor, Hillary Swank won Best Actress, Eastwood won Best Director and Joel Cox was nominated for Best Editor. The movie itself was nominated for Best Adaptation. Now for the competition, MILLION DOLLAR BABY beat out The Aviator, Finding Neverland, Ray and Sideways. I’ve seen The Aviator and its damn good so the bar is set high for this one. So what is the movie about? Clint Eastwood is a retired, old boxing trainer and Hillary Swank begs him to train her. Basically the female version of Rocky. Its got a good cast and boxing movies are usually good so this may be a damn good movie. The only way to find out is to watch. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for MILLION DOLLAR BABY.
Directed by Clint Eastwood
