*The Warlock is in father’s palace wearing a black tuxedo and gargoyle shades while holding a diamond studded goblet of Dr. Pepper*
W: Welcome to my father’s palace for another edition of Oscar’s Month here at Warlock’s Movie Realm. Tonight we will be taking a look at one of the only movies on the list I know absolutely nothing about. That movie is the winner of Best Picture in 2007, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.
*Warlock takes his seat in the middle of the couch*
W: First the accolades. Javier Bardem won Best Supporting Actor, the Coen brothers won Best Director, the movie was nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing and the movie won Best Adaptation. Now for the competition, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN beat out Atonement, Juno, Michael Clayton and There Will Be Blood. I’ve seen Juno and heard Michael Clayton is damn good so this has a chance to win in a landslide.
*Warlock takes a swig of his drink*
W: So what is this movie actually about? I have no idea. Apparently Josh Brolin is a local hunter who unknowingly crashes a drug deal and walks away with 2 million in cash. Javier Bardem and Woody Harrelson are hot on his trail while Tommy Lee Jones is investigating the situation. Its got a great cast featuring those three as well as Stephen Root, its got incredible writing as its based off a book and it can’t possibly be worse than Juno. I have high hopes for this so let’s get started, grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.
