*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a black leather jacket, Genco Olive Oil t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and gargoyle shades. He’s holding a mega pint of Dr. Pepper*
W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.
*Warlock levitates before walking inside*
W: Welcome back to Public Domain Week here at Warlock’s Movie Realm. Tonight’s movie is a comedy from 1928 known as SPEEDY. This movie is notable for it was the last silent movie ever made by comedian Harry Lloyd. Now I’ve already seen For Heaven’s Sake for Public Domain Week back in 2022 and it was absolutely hilarious, but that was only 50 minutes long. This clocks in at 85, not bad but not really short either.
*Warlock takes his seat in the middle of the couch*
W: So what is SPEEDY about? New York Yankee fan Harry “Speedy” Swift wants to save his girlfriend’s heirloom, a horse-drawn trolley her grandfather operated. Along the way he meets Babe Ruth who was the New York Yankees star player at the time. So, since this is the last Harry Lloyd silent film, let’s see if he goes out in style before he goes “talkie”. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for SPEEDY.

W: “Harold “Speedy” Swift, a fan of Babe Ruth and the New York Yankees, saves from extinction the city’s last horse-drawn trolley, operated by his girlfriend’s grandfather.”
W: No love for Bill Terry and the New York Giants huh?
