600. Scarface (1983)

*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a black Men’s Warehouse suit, white dress shirt, black tie, black dress shoes and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a wine glass of Dr. Pepper*

W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.

*Warlock shoots a lightning bolt, makes the ground rumble, shoots fire in the sky, levitates and walks inside*

W: Well, I don’t know how but we have made it to episode number SIX HUNDRED. That’s right, we’ve lived long enough and suffered through enough movies to have done this six hundred times. There will be no suffering tonight as we’re going to watch a good movie tonight.

*Mr. America is in the recliner wearing a black pinstriped Joseph A Bank’s suit, black dress shoes, a black tie and aviator shades*

A: Sorry but your ideas of good doesn’t inspire much confidence.

W: Tonight it will be different. For our 600th episode we’ll be watching one of the best movies of the 20th century. I’m talking about the one and only SCARFACE.

A: The Al Pacino movie?

W: That’s the one. What can be said about it that hasn’t already been said? For those that know its about Cuban criminals that come to Miami and decide to take over a drug cartel. It was the latino version of The Godfather only with an entirely different ending. The acting is amazing, the story grips you and the plot is basically every GTA game in Vice City. There is no Vice City without SCARFACE. So let’s not waste anymore time and put on this masterpiece. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for SCARFACE.

*America reads the tag-line*

A: “In 1980 Miami, a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug cartel and succumbs to greed.”

599. Wrath of Man (2021)

*The Warlock is in The Grand Wizard’s Palace wearing a Pizza Planet t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a diamond studded goblet of Pepsi*

W: Welcome to my father’s palace for a special edition of Warlock’s Movie Realm. A few months ago the new Jason Statham movie WRATH OF MAN came out in theaters but due to inconvenient circumstances, we never got to go see it. Well these days it doesn’t take six months for the movie to go to home video and it just came out on DVD two weeks ago. So now we’ll get to watch the movie.

*Warlock takes his seat on the right side of the couch*

W: So what’s this movie about? WRATH OF MAN stars Jason Stratham who drives around a cash truck until he’s ambushed by robbers. Stratham takes them out so precise and calculated that his superiors do a background check to find out he’s not just any security guard. The trailer for this looked cool so we may as well take a look at it. Will it be good or will it be a dud? Only way to find out is to watch. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for WRATH OF MAN.

*Wizard reads the tag-line*

598. A Clockwork Orange (1971)

*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a black leather jacket, Bloodline t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a mega pint of Dr. Pepper*

W: Welcome to my lair….welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock*

*Warlock levitates before watching inside*

W: Tonigh….

*The doorbell rings and Mr. America looks up from the recliner*

A: Who the hell is that?

W: The hell? I was just outside.

*Warlock opens the door and no one is there except a small package. Warlock brings it inside and opens it, inside there’s a movie and a note on it*

W: “Lock, watch this again and let me know what you think – Q” Well folks, tonight’s movie has been postponed to Friday since this takes precedent.

A: Oh come on, you know I was waiting for this.

W: Don’t worry, that makes Friday that much special. Someone I know just donated a movie Mr. America and I saw once in high school at 2 in the morning and sober.

A: Wait, I think I remember that.

W: Now that we’re older and awake, now’s as good as time as any to watch the 1971 psychological thriller A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

A: I…don’t remember that.

W: How could you? You were out cold a half hour into it and I was so half dead I don’t remember the ending. As for the movie itself, it was one of the weirdest movies of the 70’s. My friend has donated it to me so I’ll give it a second watch. The only thing I remember about this movie is Malcolm McDowell is a gang leader, that’s it. I forgot the plot. So, its as if I’ve never seen it before. I’ve been told a lot of people like it so I hope I can appreciate it this time around. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for A CLOCKWORK ORANGE!

597. Insidious: The Last Key (2018)

*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a Weyland-Yutani Corporation t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a mason jar of Dr. Pepper*

W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.

*Warlock does nothing and just walks inside*

W: As if you haven’t guessed, we are ending our coverage of the Insidious series tonight with the final movie in the franchise.

*Neyzor Blades is in the recliner wearing standard attire*

N: Wait, there’s ANOTHER one?

W: Yup, and by this point Leigh Whannell was out of ideas as the fourth and final movie would be known as INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY. Whannell has given up the director duty as Adam Robitel sits in the chair for this one. So what’s this about? The life and times of Elise Rainer.

*Warlock takes his seat in the middle of the couch*

W: Once again we get another prequel as we dive into Elise’s background, origin and family as the house she grew up in is haunting who lives there now. She must face her past, present and future. Lin Shaye, Whannell and Angus Sampson are back but we got some new faces including veteran actor Bruce Davison, Kirk Acevedo and Javier Botet. I remember seeing this in theaters but haven’t seen it again, so I’m going into this one fresh. So, can we end the series on a good note or will this be a total stinker? Only one way to find out, grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY.

*Neyz reads the tag-line*

N: “Parapsychologist Dr. Elise Rainier faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet, as she is drawn back to her ghostly childhood home, where the terror began.”

W: So we go back to the beginning to end the series, wonderful.

596. Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015)

*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a Omni Consumer Products t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a glass of Barq’s Root Beer*

W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.

*Warlock flicks his wrist and fire appears before walking inside*

W: Keeping on going with the Insidious series, tonight Neyzor Blades and I will be catching INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3.

*Neyzor Bladez is in the recliner wearing standard attire*

N: Oh no, no more jumpscares.

W: Yes, more jumpscares….only one problem. For some reason James Wan decided he’d had enough of the Insidious series and bowed out of this one. Leigh Whannell decided to go it alone as writer and director for the third part of the series. The other new factor is its a prequel, set before the Lambert family saga. This movie centers around Elise who has just lost her husband as she gets called into duty to investigate a haunted child. Dermot Mulroney of Young Guns is the father of the young girl and he’s at his wits end on what to do.

*Warlock takes his seat in the middle of the couch*

W: So, can Leigh Whannell capture the magic of the first two movies without James Wan, can the new actors do as well as the previous two movies and can the story be good? I only saw this once when it first came out and its been 6 years since then, so I’m almost as blind as I was then. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 3.

W: Here we go again

595. Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)

*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a Sorrow Creek City Limits t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a sacred chalice of Barq’s Root Beer*

W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.

*Warlock shoots a lightning bolt before walking inside*

W: Yesterday Neyzor Bladez and I celebrated the 6th anniversary of Warlock’s Movie Realm, tonight we will continue what we started as we catch INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 2.

*Neyzor Blades is in the recliner wearing standard attire*

N: Oh no, not more jumpscares.

W: Yes, more jumpscares. The first Insidious was successful and a great story but it had a lot of holes in it that fans were asking about. A few years later James Wan decided to make a sequel to plug up the rest of the holes. This time he would be the writer and director as the original cast was brought back for round two with a few new faces.

*Warlock takes his seat in the middle of the couch*

W: The Lambert family think they’ve won as Dalton and Josh return from the further but not everything is as it seems. Soon all hell breaks loose as old faces reappear. Like I said, the sequel tells the rest of the story and its almost as good as the first one. Like I said, I like this one too so I’m gonna have some fun. 594. Insidious (2010)

*The Warlock opens the door to his lair. He’s wearing a Genco Olive Oil Co t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and Gargoyle shades. He’s holding a diamond studded goblet of Dr. Pepper*

W: Welcome to my lair…welcome I don’t think so, but enter. Enter my lair if you dare. I’m your host The Warlock.

*Warlock levitates before walking inside*

W: Well, somehow Warlock’s Movie Realm has made it SIX YEARS. That’s right, today is our 6th Anniversary Special. Mr. America couldn’t be with us for obvious reasons but Neyzor Blades is here instead.

*Neyz is in the recliner wearing standard attire*

N: Great, so I have to suffer?

W: Not at all, we usually watch a good movie for the anniversary special. Tonight’s movie we’ll be watching one of the best horror ghost franchises of the last 20 years.

N: Wait, I don’t like horror.

W: Its okay, the story to this overshadows the scary aspects. I’m talking about the 2010 James Wan thriller INSIDIOUS!

N: Oh no…no no no, I don’t like jumpscares.

W: Don’t worry, they only stun for a second. For those that don’t know the Insidious series stars Patrick Wilson, Lin Shaye, Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson and the stories are great. Leigh Whannell was the architecht of the Saw series and he also wrote the first Insidious. The basic plot is a family is being terrorized by spooks and the oldest son falls into a mysterious coma. The wife convinces the husband to move to a different house but they’re still attacked by ghosts. A paranormal team of Sampson, Shaye and Whannell are hired to find out what’s going on and how to bring the boy back.

N: Its actually a good movie if it wasn’t so scary.

W: That’s the beauty of it, its not that scary. There’s no blood, grizzly death or murder….plus they only say the F word once so its PG-13. I already know this movie rocks so its always good to see it again. So grab your popcorn, grab your drink and grab your woman because its time for INSIDIOUS!
